looking for surround speakers to compliment my RT55i's

Hey All,

I recently picked up a set of RT55i's with the matching center channel speaker off a neighbor, I'm pretty excited about them! Got them cheap, they just needed a little TLC as the black trim was peeling in a couple places.

I'm getting ready to redo my basement and was going to use them for the surround system I'm going to build down there. I'm wondering what folks recommend as good surround speakers and subwoofer to compliment theses. Given my basement setup I'll probably be hanging the surrounds from the ceiling. Looking to do a 5.1 system, but am open to hearing ideas for a 7.1 system as well.

Sub boils down to room size and budget.

Time to do some research. The sub in my Living Room setup just died, so looks like I'll be looking for 2 new ones.

My setup is similar to yours. I went with a SVS PB-1000 sub

I decided to go 7.1. Got the rt/fx for the side surrounds and the rt25 for the rear. still looking for a good sub and receiver, but I have until Thanksgiving to figure it out. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!
