Just wondering if anybody play video games on their REAR PROJECTION TV and if it has caused any damage to your screen what so ever ?

eg., life bar meters that are static on your screen too long I've heard may permanantly burn the image on your screen.

Thank you for taking the poll ! :)

Just keep your contrast low and you'll have no problems. If you haven't got a calibration dvd yet, get one. Most tv's come preset in torch mode which is conducive to burn-in.

I've played a Gamecube on my 51' Sony for over a year now and haven't had any problems. I was worried about the life bar thing too; but I've used one of the calibration DVD's that fireshoes mentioned and I haven't experienced any problems at all.

I can't wait until next Tuesday; I finally broke down and got an X Box. One of the special edition Halo ones that is a bad **** green.:D

Oh yeah, if I ever have to pause the game for some reason for more than a few seconds, I always flip it over to the TV. No need to push your luck that way...
