Flea Market - What It Doesn't Matter Anymore?

The subject has not been addressed appropriately IMO.
If Bullwinkle asked to have his flea market thread made "sticky", then so be it....and a decision was made to handle it in that way, that's fine. What's done is done. The thread is in the HOS anyways.
Moving forward.....
I do not think it was fair to the other members who had no "sticky" for their flea market threads.
I don't think it was fair to others who have to "bump" and keep interest going in their flea market threads.
There are some unwritten "guidelines" that we all follow, or adhere to once they are known. Seems to have worked for many many months before the unwarranted outburst on 4/7/04. All of a sudden it's flaming right? All of a sudden it's not constructive anymore, right?
The Flea Market area is a great room, and has proven valuable in more than one occasion. We are lucky to have it available to us. I support it in any and all ways, by my own submissions to it's survival.
One person's goods are apparently more valuable than anothers, if this is the future rule of thumb.
I would hope that it is the end of sticky threads for flea market ads.
I would enjoy some clarification on conduct in the future to be made by the Admin. That way those who are unschooled in Polk Forum, as of now unwritten, Flea Market rules, can read them and understand. Perhaps then, constructive criticism can actually be understood, instead of read like a foreign language.

Doesn't a "sticky" kinda make you feel like polk is endorsing the item or seller??

I agree, I think the sticky was a bad move, and I'm not speaking for Justin but I think hindsight being what it is, he probably wouldn't do it again.
I agree, you know, the FM is getting WAY more complicated than it needs to be. A little common sense and understanding is all that's needed for the most part.
I think best thing that we could do, is agree on some ground rules and make THAT the sticky note to put up in the FM.

Agreed, that's why I originally posted yesterday... -
FWIW, I don't think Justin had any other thoughts but then to be a nice guy with the sticky thing. I don't think it was an intentional slight or anything like that. I say we give the lad a break on that issue. Lesson learned....

Yep, agreed. Justin was just trying to be nice as he is nice guy to begin with. Time to let it go.Political Correctness'.........defined

On a side note, I wonder if the sticky remains in effect in the HOS?

Side note to Polkmaniac.
Quit 'over quoting' already. Why quote someones 4 paragraph post, only to add 'Yeah, I agree'. Shorten it up a bit, will ya?
