Curious about the "open box" designation. My 705's are not the first pair I've owned. The first pair, bought during a F&F sale, had both performance(bad tweeters) & serious fit & finish issues. They went back. If those are the kind of speakers one gets buying open box from Adorama, I'd pass. They are no bargain.

Really? I bought my 704c refurbished direct from Polk for like $204 plus tax with free shipping, and at the same time they were selling the 703s for about $200 a piece plus tax. I have seen that deal twice.

As for the quality of Adorama open box products, all I know is that their customer service is first rate. As long as the return policy holds on those it would be worth a shot, although I would argue about shipping costs if I received clearly damaged goods.

  • Anyone know how these compare to the Signature series? Worth the difference to upgrade for music to LSiM?
  • I bought some S60's open box. One delivered with a big gash. Ado took it back and paid the freight and sent a replacement. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any open box.

LSI are a much better speaker than RTi/Signature lines. It's all about the almighty dollar, If you can afford them go for it and get a nice amp to drive them well.

I didn't want to go in debt for speakers so I have Signature speakers, which do sound very good
