FWIW, I do not recognize them. The cabinet design is reminiscent of the HH Scott S3 loudspeakers of the early/mid 1960s; but they ain't S3s. Also, the S3 was a three-way
Again FWIW, I am getting a vague Lafayette (LRE) vibe; their loudspeakers were mostly sold under the "Criterion" brand name. I haven't perused old catalogs, though -- and the scans I have on line myself don't show anything with cabinet cosmetics like these.

Here's a good, but small, photo of the S3s

They are in good shape. For $35 would be worth the purchase price to get them and give them a chance.
You know who would know what they are for sure?

They've been on there for quite a while and the dude keeps re-posting them. Maybe I'll bite, but I've got dare I say, too many speakers and a baby on the way. So I will need the room, I was hoping someone here would know about them then I could make my decision.

If they were at a goodwill for $39.99 I might give them a shot
(if the wife wasn't w/ me )
A lot of TV manufacturers ect jumped into the speaker business
after the flower power explosion. I get a weird magnavox feel as well ... -
I was thinking the same thing, red. I txted him last night, going to give them a listen today. We'll see, my expectations are not very high.

I am thinking I will pull the trigger on them. Figure it will be a good first set of speakers to get my toes wet doing recaps.
