    Don't know how this thread devolved into a bash Florida thread but from a Country who still slaughters baby seals for no reason to preach about any other society is a bit looney eh?

    Florida is a paradise with almost 21M residents; oddly many people from Cuba don't agree with your assessment of Cuba vs FL as they would risk everything to come here to Florida. In Florida we never put you in jail because of your political beliefs like they do in Cuba. I couldn't support that with my hard earned US dollars.

    Personally I would rather go the Cayman Islands over Cuba and many Canadians do but I would imagine the exchange rate could be a bit prohibitive. The CAD is only worth .65 KYD. That's a lot of pelts eh?

    Florida has low taxes and is a great place to live. It has many large metro areas now and if you live in one of those areas they have very diverse populations.

    When I was thinking of where i wanted to move to when i lived in NJ, Canada didn't make it to my top 100. Neither did Cuba.

    When it is 88F (*31C) here in January i never even think about how cold is it in Canuckistan.

    I would concede that Canada might be a safer/less dramatic place to live; unless of course you are a baby seal.

    Well thanks to Ryan and his lovely wife's Midwestern hospitality I had a pleasant visit with them and the real Russ, he's everywhere. It was an enjoyable afternoon, good eats and good people.
