Powering the MM12

I bought the MM12 self enclosed momo unit.. Am thinking about the MTX Thunder 801d which is rated at 400Wx1 RMS.. is that too much? Anyone running it already?

it can handle more... 500 is rated, many people here push it with up to 650.

that amp is too small for that sub... if you're gonna stick with one momo 104 sub, then go with an mtx 502 -- it'll do about 500+ watts into that sub.... if you're gonna get another momo 104 in the near future, then spring for the mtx 1501D to push the two of them.. well worth the money.

hes got the 124, so is the 1501d enough for two of those?

if it puts out around 1000x1 @2ohms, then yes, but i have no idea what its rated

it'll do between 1500 and 1600 x 1 at 2 ohms at 14.4 volts. so ya.... its PLENTY of power.
