Just happened to be browsing around and came across this that I thought "SOME" people may be interested. Those "SOME" people I'm referring to are the ones that don't already own any of them, which I'm sure is very few.:D

FYI, The box set in the link is for the Theatrical versions and not the EE.

Oh yeah, I knew that, just figured for those people that didn't really care to purchase the EE and didn't already have any of the LOTR this may be a good purchase for them. Me on the other hand already own the first two EE.:DMoney Talks, Mine says Goodbye Rob!!!!

Extended Edition. It's the set that comes with 4 dvd's and it is DTS-ES. It also comes with all the deleted scenes already added to the movie. Just a bunch load of extras.Money Talks, Mine says Goodbye Rob!!!!

does anyone know for sure that they'll release ROTK EE by itself? Hopefully they wouldn't, but I could imagine them releasing it only in a box set with the first two movies in order to milk more money out of everyone.

My understanding is that the ROTK EE will come out by itself, but a souped up boxed set of the EE's will arrive sometime next year, including an extras disc of deleted scenes that did not make the final cuts. Not sure about the extras discs of the EE's, but I would assume they would include those as well. Also, for anyone who cares, Howard Shore will release a NINE DISC boxed set of the complete scores for each film, 2 discs for film one, and 3 each for two and three, plus an extra disc, possibly a DVD, with clips from performances of the new LOTR symphony he wrote. These guys have been really good to the fans, giving all we want and more.Current System:
