I do alright, but running is my son's passion. He's been trying all spring to break the sub 7 minute mile in the program he participates in and today he finally did it, 6:57! Not record breaking, but for a 10 year old, I think it's fantastic! So proud of him! I run with him when I can. This week, we've run a couple milers and a 5k in 90 deg temps. Damn my knees hurt!

My kids all run, one competitively in HS. Another is a HS track and cross-country coach. I ran regularly from about age 12 till 30, knees indeed. I'm trying to get back to it, but I mushed a meniscus two years ago and its been slow going since! Sub 7 for a 10 year old sounds pretty great to me!VA HT HK AVR20II, Sony S9000ES CD/DVD/SACD, Polk Audio RC80i / Polk Audio CSi3, 60" Panasonic Plasma, Nordost / Signal Cable A2 / Wireworld / Pangea / Magic Power

Sure, I run from the cops in my truck often. Actual running? Shooooot. That goes together like Lemonade and toothpaste. Just NOT gonna happen man.
Ever. Kudos to those who do. My hat is off to all of you. (seriously) I think I'd rather lick a toilet clean with my tongue whist watching golf than run.

Not really. I try to get a 6-7 mile run at least once a month just because, but I'm in the 8.5 minute per mile range. I could probably run a 7minute mile but it would only be a one mile run.
That's really good considering his age.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant -
My brother is a runner, I am not.
He's been doing Ultra marathons. His upcoming race is the Moab 200.
Which in case anyone is curious is a 234 mile footrace through desert, canyons, slick rock, two mountain ranges surrounded by Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.
He hasn't yet finished the 2 100 milers he has tried for various reasons (sprained his ankle during the night on one race, just couldn't physically make it another), but he's shooting to make this his first big finish.
I think he's nutso, but when your single, work as a running coach for a small company based out of Conn and can run and train 24/7 since you have a key to the gym, I guess its easier to be in top physical condition."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I'm pretty out of shape right now, but I have another Tough Mudder coming up in a few months so time to get back at it. When I am deciding not to be a fat ****, I usually run 5ish miles two or three times a week.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A

^^ That's exactly where I'd like to get back to ^^ if you can squeeze out 5 mi, you're in shape, I don't care what anyone thinks!
Twice a week would be great for me. As it is now, I walk to work a couple times a week (4 Miles) and ride my bike a couple times, so I feel like I'm at least maintaining. Hoping to work up to a run now and again...VA HT HK AVR20II, Sony S9000ES CD/DVD/SACD, Polk Audio RC80i / Polk Audio CSi3, 60" Panasonic Plasma, Nordost / Signal Cable A2 / Wireworld / Pangea / Magic Power

Running ?? For what ? Only if there is a nice bottle of wine at the end, good food, and an Ice cream/gelato shop. Then I'd beat you all....bad, to that finish line.HT SYSTEM-
