This is an original AI-1, correct?
What's a fair price for it assuming it works?

Actually only one.

$100-$150 you might even see $200 but most of the guys on the forum have built their own by now...

Thanks.
Any way to test it to make sure it works? I don't have pin/blade SDAs. -
The only test you can do without the speakers is to check for continuity. Being an isolation transformer there should be none on either the pin or blade.Political Correctness'.........defined

Okay that makes sense. Thank you.

I'd expect there's resistance checks that could be made.
From pin to blade on one connector, then on the other connector. I'm sure they'll be close but not exactly the same--depending on the resolution of your meter. I don't have the resistance values handy.
Then assure there's NO continuity from pin to pin. -
I don't know what I'm talking about, but if it is an isolation transformer, don't you check whether it will perform by running a signal through one side of the transformer while checking to see whether s similar signal is induced in the other side of the transformer?
Having asked that question, given he wiring of the AI-1, I have no idea how to do what I just described.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.
Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One. -
Me neither. The only way I could think of hooking anything up to it was by using female RCA to male RCA adapters and sending a signal through it that way.
I didn't want to buy any cables or blow anything up though. -

Those in the know know about the dreadnaughts. Those who don't buy them off eBay where I've seen pin/blades sell for $100.00 and blade/blades go for $60-80. So its not out of the relm of possibilities.
