Wire Running Question

I'm going to be installing my speaker wire tommorow for my surrounds. Plan is to go into the wall, up to, and across the attic, and then back down the rear wall to where the speakers will be mounted. Total run for each speaker will be about 30ft, give or take a few feet. For now, I will be running a pair of(don't laugh)old KLH's until I can swing some 300I's. Question's are,,,Is this too much a a run of wire for a 55watt per channel amp? and if not, what gauge or wire is recommended for the 300's? I want this to be a one time deal so I'll be set when I get the 300's. Thank's for any help!

You should be fine with your amp and the length. Here is a link that might be helpful.
