Oh, I think I'm just now for the first time seeing the forum background the way it's intended to look for the LSiM sale. Actually pretty cool. I'm okay now. This is acceptable. Carry on.
I do not see that on either iPad Safari, or IE 11 on my laptop. Just white is all that displays. Been that way for a couple of weeks now. Pure FUBAR is all it is.

You may not see the speakers depending on your screen resolution.
I only saw pieces of them until I hit the forum with the browser maximized in full screen on a display running at 1920 width.
Redned - interesting, because I noticed on a different device last week that it still showed the Signature series whereas all others were showing the LSiMs. Can't remember what it was though, whether tablet, or a computer.
I just tried clearing caches and such and a refresh, but still LSiM slices for me.

Very poor design if the browser must be in full screen mode in order to see it. There is a reason why we have 'windows' versus full screen apps.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

Whenever I made little web pages, one of the first questions was, what resolution to build for? With pages being simple and mostly static back then, that question had a few different answers depending on a number of factors. Back then a lot of people still used less than full HD displays - as do many these days, now that I think about it - so, depending on the target audience, sometimes you'd choose a lower resolution to fit most common display resolutions, and larger displays would just have a buncha white space.
Not sure what kind of design tools and code capabilities are available to builders these days, whether there's code now to auto detect resolutions and and window sizes, and swap or scale backgrounds to match. Never really gave it much thought since I haven't messed with that stuff in years, but thinking on it now, seems like that's how it works, typically?I disabled signatures. -
Messing around having a look in the source a bit, I found this in one of the themes' stylesheets
http://forum.polkaudio.com/themes/polkaudio/design/custom.css?v=1.0.10.591e002e
body { font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400; line-height: 1.7; color: #333333; background-attachment: fixed; background-image: url("images/polkaudio-background.jpg"); -webkit-background-size: cover cover; background-size: cover; background-repeat: no-repeat; border-color: #000; }
This polkaudio-background.jpg image is the image below, and the dimensions are 2800x1772. I think this was one that used to change scale depending on the window size. I don't remember when this image was last used, but it looks familiar.
I can't find where the LSiM image is referenced, though, and I don't see where the last background - the Signature Series - is, either. I don't know a whole lot about this stuff, but fun to Polk around here and there.

what's your display resolution? 640x480?
I'm not knocking it. I hope to upgrade a 14" someday, too. (go on. have fun with it)

I had an automated video driver update a couple days ago and now mine has changed to the LSiM theme. The video resolution seems the same though.
