Polk Audio PSW125 thumping noise\no sound or bass

I have a Polk Audio PSW125 Subwoofer and every time I hook it up to power it just makes a thumping noise every second and the power light on the back flashes. It's not a loud bass noise, it just sounds like a tap on the speaker.

    Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood there's a problem with the bass amplifier that needs attention. It would be best to telephone Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655 select option 1 and have the unit's serial number and date/place of purchase handy.
