Just joined forum Im looking for MW 6600x drivers for my monitor 10b I need 2 to replace.

Yes all four mid drovers are MW6600x. Trying to find if any can source a replacement. I only need 2.

2 of the voice coil are rubbing on the 6600X drivers

Can my speakers be repaired? I do not know what is causing a voice coil to rub. I just bought these speakers. When I'm listening to them it sounds fine. I found out about the rubbing when I did the push test on each speakers.

So if I spread my fingers evenly to push the speaker cone and I do not feel any voice coil rubbing then the speakers should be OK. I will do this later today and report back to the forum.

OK just did the correct way of testing all mid drivers MW 6600X and found that voice coils are not rubbing. What can I use to make drivers air tight to enclosure. After removing screws to all mid bass drivers the speakers just fell out without any hesitation.

They are supposed to fall out. The gasket isn't there to hold them in place and they are supposed to be paper thin as you want the basket rim mated as closely as possible to the mounting rim.Political Correctness'.........defined

Nightfall why will you say that my monitor speakers are not 10b. My speakers are both marked 10b with serial numbers. What else is needed to confirm from other 10 monitors?

Polk Audio had many configurations with the 10 monitor speaker. With so many changes to design by Polk there will be variants.

I'm not doubting that you have 10B's, I just didn't think they came with MW6600X's. I was wrong though, apologies.

Well dang, learned something. I know they are the drivers for the Monitor 11's, which came out at that time, but I had no idea they were used in the 10B's.Political Correctness'.........defined

Apologies accepted. We always learn something new. The me 6600x are hard to come by. I'll keep checking eBay if another one comes up for sale. Thanks for all helpful suggestions.
