Any other HK AVR7200 owner with this weird problem?

My two month old HK AVR7200 did something very strange the other night. I was doing some very quiet music listening at around -50 on the volume or so, and then all of a sudden and without warning, the volume started cranking up. No, I was not being an idiot by inadverdently sitting on the remote control's volume button. In fact, it was sitting on top of my TV 10 feet away. Now this was 1:30 AM, and I live in an apartment complex. It really scared the heck out of me. I ran towards the receiver and tried to turn the volume down with the knob, but it was not responding! So in a last ditch effort before I get angry neighbors knocking at the door (and more importantly, before any speaker damage), I turned it off with the hard power switch. I think I've read about this in some older HK model, but I forgot which. I had expected this to be fixed by this model. Has any one else ever experienced this with their HK receiver. If so, do you know a fix for it? It hasn't repeated itself yet, and I've tried to contact HK support and still waiting for their respond. Just want to see if this is a common problem people are experiencing or is it just me. Thanks for any helpful comment.

This happened on the first generation AVR80 models (before the MKII) and a few other models in that series I think.
I've never had this ussue, but I've heard about it alot...same exact thing of having to unplug ot turn the receiver off to get it to stop...
I'd give HK a call... -
