When I was a kid I walked into our local record shop, and the owner who was an older guy who gave musical instrument instructions, was listening to a Carpenters album on the shop's system. He was gazing at the ceiling as if in a dream. When he noticed me, he just looked at me and said, "Karen Carpenter has perfect pitch!"
