I have a pair of LS 50 speakers that I run on an old Denon 1035R reciever that drives 135 watts per channel. These speaker even though they are old still produce a very crisp sound and present Jazz music very well. Unfortunately at low volumes there is a raspy sound that on some music is very noticable. I have never driven these spreaker beyond their power range nor exposed them to any distortion. Is there a possiblility that the drivers could go bad over time if they have been idle for a period of time? These speaker did sit for 2 year without being used or could there be something else wrong with them. Any advise would be helpfull. Thanks

Welcome Jeffery-I have 12 year old monitors which have been punished at times. The only thing I blew were tweeters, many of them but no drivers. Did you call Ken S. at customer service, it would be you best bet IMO. (1-800-377-7655) It could be a crossover problem if only certian music or volumes it to much of a guessing game. CS can help you better IMO.
