outpost com dropped my order

I had jumped on the rti4 deal last week...but at the end of it. They accepted my order....but about 4 days later...they cancelled it. They are claiming they are discontinuing them. THey were the black ones. If you look on their site they do not have black rti4's listed , but only the cherry. Something does not make sense here. Why drop the blacks for just the rti4's??

    I gave up on outpost and Crutchfield came thru.

    Rti8's, Csi3, Rti4's, 505_sub.

    $1275 to the door. Ebay can't beat this.

    Maybe not now, but wait 6 -12 months and eBay will have it for half of what you paid

    I've been busting nut looking for a decent deal on this stuff. I've searched ebay etc. and you you may have a point that this stuff will be cheaper down the road. Fortunately for me, I have the descretionary income to afford new stuff...but I don't like paying full price...so I thought I got a decent deal and thought I would share. My opinion about ebay is that it is for misfortunate people that need quick cash...and the buyers take a bath.....on newer stuff. As far as old stuff......great deals.....maybe. My lawn needs mowing if you've got the time....but maybe you are crusing ebay this week.

    Outpost no longer is carrying Polk Speakers and cannot get any more speakers. I ordered the RTi4s too and had my order cancelled. I called them up and was able to get the FXi3s for about $220 shipped instead. If you call them about the cancelled order, they will try to work with you and discount another pair of Polks that are in stock.

    For tax reasons Crutch works out for me. Outpost needed tax money. The Crutch deal work out to be 28.5 % off the typical price that everybody sells them at. With the 2x $200 (sub or cash rebate) and no sales tax....I'm fairly satisfied. But if Outpost has a half off sale..then maybe the numbers would work out.
