Center Speaker for Monitor 70s
All,
This is my first post on this forum. I am a new bee with Home theater and am trying to setup a 7.1 system. I wanted to go a bit easy on budget. So, went for a little older (but well rated models). Here is my current setup.
Subwoofer: Polk PSW505
Front L&R: Polk Monitor 70 Series II
Surround: Klipsch R-14M (4 of them)
Receiver: DENON AVR-X3200W
From my research I realize Polk CS2 and CS20 would be good matching center speakers. But, unfortunately both of them are not available. Not sure if Polk stopped making them. Spoke to Polk CSR and he suggested to buy TSX250C instead.
Can someone please help with this? Do you think if TSX250C is a timbre match to Monitor 70s?
Thanks in advance!

Although it's not an exact match, id grab the csi5 on eBay for 152 free shipping. Years ago I was running monitor40s with a cs1, upgraded to csi3 and it was significant. And the timbre mismatch didn't bother me!Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

TSX is more matched to the monitor line. I got my TSX250C for $99 at Amazon. CSI5 is a very nice center speaker and for $152 you can't beat it.
I would look for a TSX250C first and if nothing comes up get the CSi5When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

I got a CS2 from Fry's I think but I would go with the CSi5 mentioned above.

Thanks for the advise. Seems CSi5 to go based on majority.
