Need an Oppo, maybe 105 series?

I am trying to separate one of my systems into a dedicated 2 channel, but I want to preserve the "Universal" aspect.

    Why?

If you're building a 2-channel system, why not look at a strictly music player.

Not anything against the Oppo, it's a very good machine. Just think there are better prices on music only players out there. With Oppo already releasing the lower end unit, the pricing on the 100 series is at a premium in the used market.

I'd look for something in the 80 or 90 series if you really want an Oppo. Otherwise I'd look at a purely music player, Marantz, Cambridge, or Pioneer Elite series. All sound a little different, but on the used market can be found at a better price point.

That's what I got the Auralic for. I am trying to make two multi channel systems and one 2 channel system out of the gear that I have.

Wonder what a 105D is worth on the market kind of patiently waiting for the 205 to come out and read some reviews.

Hell, I may knock all this stuff out in one swift blow. All I have to have is a pre and speakers, the universal player could wait but wth? Well I guess I could replace my unmentionable monoblocs too. Oh and some good cables, who needs food?

I don't listen to music on my AVR very much, but when I do it is only for the hybrid 5.1 SACD's and I use a Oppo 103 for this and it does the job nicely I think. And a couple of blu-ray music disk I did buy.

Not fair to compare it to my Marantz SACD in my 2 channel setup.
