    Considerations would be range (2.4ghz has a better range than 5ghz) and device compatibility...a lot of devices (laptops mostly and a large number of Android tablets) don't have a wifi card with 5ghz capabilities.

    Otherwise, environment would really dictate which would be better *for you*
