They are much easier to rehab than the original Quads (ESL-57s). Charles King has been known to rehab them, but he's in NY State.
"Do not work" = maybe just the HV power supply. I have zero experience with the 63s, though
They are very good, although they're different than the 57s. Much more complex design (if better implementation).

... someone picked them up. price was 2 pairs for $150.00. If I was younger I would have bought them as a project. Always wanted to try a pair.

True but the 63s (i.e., the membranes) are much more repair-friendly than the 57s and when the price of entry is virtually nothing -- there's a potential opportunity to be had.
