Anybody Else Fighting the Crud?!

This is the 3rd time in the last 3 months I've had whatever is going around. Not sure what weather is like in other areas, but, we go from 20's one week to mid 70's the next. Can't seem to kick it. Anyone else fighting the funk?

Yeah, it tore through my home bad,

My son came home from school with it High fever and the aches and pains. 17 year old was down and out for 4 days

Wife then got it, she just slept the weekend. She seriously came home at noon on a Friday and was in bed by 1. She didn't come down stairs till Sunday morning.

I got it that weekend (last week) I tried to got to work but my boss sent me home. I called out sick then for the next 2 days. 4th time in 11 years I called out.

The three of us still have a cough but it's nothing like the first 4 days.

Sleep is your friend when ill like that.
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Wife and I had the flu for 2 weeks then it mutated into acute bronchitis. We both fought that for a week and now we both have a cough that won't give up.

My girl friend got the flu, a nasty one for two weeks. She got better for about a week and it returned for round two. I didn't get it, for some reason I get sick about once every 2 years.

That's where I'm at. It quickly moved in to the chest. I'm a big baby when it comes to this stuff.

Son got sick, then daughter, then me still coughing and not 100%, wife caught the same. Then son got sick again and now daughter sick again. I have not worked a full week in about a month and a half. (I have lots of sick days accumulated and unused family related leave, so I usually stay home with the kids)

You & me both (if that makes you feel any better)! :)

My wife's an interesting one in this regard, too. She succumbs majorly to minor ills -- but if she's really sick or injured, she's amazingly stoic.

Speaking of this thread -- wasn't "The Crud" an old Led Zeppelin song?

I am empathetic. Mrs. H and I are catching those nasty kiddie bugs from our granddaughter thanks to the daycare incubator.

On the bright side, we're all building antibody diversity. As noted immunologist Martha Stewart would say, "That's a good thing."
