    Morning update... got 4 hours of sleep last night, but it was a restless one. Jayden doesn't cry so much as he mak s these cooing sounds and such, but when you don't pay attention to those noises, he can really wail on for you.

    My wife continues to inspire me. She has had little sleep in the past 36 hours if any, yet she continues to power through and give her everything to this new life. I have been blessed to be her husband and best friend for 17 years. Now Jayden has been blessed to have her as his mom.

    They pushed my wife to the brink of collapse. I had to fight back a bit just to get them to leave her alone for a few hours. Nooshin got only three hours of sleep for now, but it was enough to avoid her needing to go to the ER. How is it that a hospital so highly rated can miss the signs of stress and fatigue like that?

    Another update. It appears that a special bond between Jayden and I has begun to form. He can't sleep until his daddy speaks to him and calms him. So far it is the sound of my voice that he responds to most, and he looks at me as if he understands every word. Nooshin has commented on this as well, with great approval. The staff that has been directly involved with us have been pretty good to us and very supportive.

    Thanks to a few of them, I will leave here not only a better father to my son, but a better man for my wife as well. Tomorrow afternoon the world my son will know becomes much bigger than the four walls of our hospital room as we get to take him home. The adventure of our lives as a family is about to begin.

    Deepest gratitude to all of you guys for your kindness and support. It means more to my wife and I than you know.

    No, but by his first birthday, daddy is going to get him a C3 Corvette. Every birthday or Xmas after, there will be parts for the car under the tree or as gifts. When he turns 12, I will give him the keys...



    But Jayden and daddy will need to build that car so it's ready when he gets his license.
