This was on HBO today and I happen to catch it. Has anyone here ever seen it? Did you like it? I think it originally came out in Sept/Oct last year but I didn't have HBO back then so was unfamiliar with it. What a fun sometimes poignant and very entertaining hour. Maybe you have to be a die hard Red Sox fan to really appreciate it but I throughly enjoyed it and I have been a Yankee fan all my life. Nevertheless you almost can't help but feel the disappointments too. I think Affleck was perfect for the narration and the interviews were great. Very animated. If you haven't seen it and you are a fan....... check it out!

Spoon we must have been watching the same episode last night. I personally thought it was great. they really did the background research, and the interviews of celebs, and plain Bostonians who have suffered watching and loving the Red Sox was great. Especially the 86' Mets/Buckner incident.

I caught it about 35 minutes in, but I have seen the first part. I just need to watch it all at once.

Yeah, as silly as it may seem it was almost impossible not to get emotional watching it.

I also really liked the Bucky ****ing:) Dent part. I remember that game well.

was very amusing to watch for this life-long Yankee fan...

Although, I certainly can understand how the Bosox fans feel. I'm also a NY Rangers fan too. I went to a couple playoff games in'94 between the Rangers v Devils. I saw a 40yr old Rangers fan, wearing a leather Rangers cap, get into a serious shouting match with a 12yr old Devils fan who was shoutin' 1940...

Anyway, I hope the Yanks bullpen can hold some big leads this year...
