Will your receiver continue to power the internal L/C/R amps if the preouts are connected? If the answer is no then you'll need a total of six channels worth of amplification (2-3 channel) amps. If the answer is yes, then the first thing you need to do is remove the jumpers from the speaker terminals, connect the amp to the receivers preouts, connect the amp to the speakers as shown in figure 9 of your manual.

- Remove the metal jumpers from the upper to lower posts of the speakers.
For left channel ( The other channels will work the same way )
- Attach a Y Splitter to the left channel preamp out of your preamp or receiver.
- Run one side of the Y to the left channel input of one amp and the other side of the Y to the left channel input of the other amp.
- Run the left channel out from one amp to the top binding posts of the left speaker and the left channel out from the other amp to the lower binding posts of the left speaker.
Check the doc you have for your speakers as there will be diagram in there. If you don't have the doc you'll find it in Polk's doc section. -
Thankyou guys. The Y splitter was the answer I was looking for.
I 'll let you know how it sounds when I am done.
