I believe it is unusual for a speaker manufacturer to also become a record producer. I know there are lots of examples of speaker and electronics companies offering demonstration records as a way of touting their wares. Examples from Altec, Fisher, Dynaco come to mind and even Polk wanted to produce a record that would showcase the speaker's abilities (I introduced the marketing department to the folks at Mapleshade with just such a hope).
So, for your edification here is an example of the Gale series of records.
