has anyone ever tried replacing the amp in a 202PSW with something much bigger than 50w ??? is it possible ? costly ??

    I think you would be better off making a whole new sub than to add an amp to the 202. The box, driver and amp are all weak links in that sub (I have one). I you are looking for more performance check out the kits from www.creativesound.ca

    plate amps are at least 100.00 bucks for the cheapest ones i have seen. i dont think such an endeavor would be worth it. you would probably have to recut the hole for the amp in the subwoofer box. again, for such an effort into such a small sub, my view is not even close to worth it.

    just my 2 cents.

    it's pretty much what I thought, but hey if it couldve worked it would be nice and if it was cheap too !!! oh well Im no worse off
