Magnepan MG IIIA
I found a pair locally. The owner is asking $675 firm for a pair that is in very good condition with the external crossovers. Is is worth the trouble getting a pair of speakers that is almost 20 years old or should I save some cash for let say a brand new pair of 1.7i from magnepan? Thanks

I loved mine when I had them. The price is not bad as long as there are no issues. If you're handy then they can be fixed for pretty cheap.

Those speakers do sound superb. I heard a pair properly driven and set-up and was very impressed.
