Finally found one for sale.
Too bad it's a little above budget.
I will pass this on to my local buddy. But alas I think we will watch this guy slip through our fingers. It's just not the right time yet.
But whoever gets this will be very happy.

Description says it ships from Washington, DC. I mean, you'd hope they were more careful in dispelling uncertainty when selling a $40,000 used amp. -
Agree. Seems like they did some careless copy/paste making the ad. The link to amp's specs has the right text, but links to the sellers website. Kind of clumsy.Jay

If I were actually in the market, I would fly out there to ensure authenticity and working condition.
I doubt it's much better than my 2060 for a lot more money but you never know.
Either way, ain't buying it and ain't spending that load of cash.

I think they are selling it for the original owner. The original owner probably can't be bothered to post the FS ad. I won't speak too soon but I might agree with you if you're talking 2060 vs 2160.... I don't expect a massive shift.
But from regular or even super amps like my previous Classe Cam600, (dealer's) Mac 601, (my) Cary 211fe... Boulder 2060 smoked them.

But it does look sweet. I'll be happy when I can finally upgrade my B&K amp but nowhere close to this price range. Setup:
