Impedance for each SDA SRS speaker

Looking thru the SDA SRS manual, I find nothing stating what the impedance is for each tower.

The reason I ask, is that on the amp ( Yamaha M85 ) I'm using , there are -3- switches ( 2 ohms, 4 ohms, 8 ohms ) on the front panel that should be matched up as close as possible to the impedance of the speaker.

One could assume that one could hook the leads from a digital multimeter and read the resistance. But I don't won't to assume....factual info is better.

Thanks in advance,

The nominal impedance for the SDA SRS is 4 ohms. There are no specs available for the high or low pass, but you can bet the low pass is 4 ohm and lower.

Try the different settings to decide which sounds best to you, but 4 ohm is going to be your best bet.

There is no woofer, that is a passive radiator.

    F1nut..

Thanks for the info...admittedly, my technical knowledge of electronics is
limited. I've got it set on 4 ohms so I will most likely leave it as such.

BTW, reading the resistance will not tell you the impedance.

You should also be aware that you cannot use non-common ground, true dual mono or mono block amps with your speakers or very bad juju will happen.

F1nut, speaks the truth, do some research on impedance, it varies greatly in box speakers, usually lower in the low frequencies. Stability in low ohm loads, high current coupled with a nice dampening factor will do wonders for you in the amp department. Haha, then we can get into cables :p:D ...
