Polk center channel

I have rt2000p for my front l/r. I know the cs400 is the proper center to match. I have a cs350ls. My local store got a trade in of a cs400. I haven't hooked anything up yet to see how what I have sounds. My question is, is it worth it to by the cs400 when I already have a 350? Is the difference that noticeable?

Oh, they want 100 for the cs400 if that makes a difference. And it will be almost exclusively for movies. Thanx

Can u test it out and take it back? I have never heard the cs350ls, but it is highly regarded. I have had a cs400i multiple times, great center. But $100 for local is a little high. I have gotten ones in good (but not perfect) condition on ebay for $50-75 shipped.

  • Will, I picked up the 400. The gave me a deal on that and a panamax power conditioner. When I get some time to hook everything up, I'll compare and keep the one I like best. Anybody heard both? Opinions on which one had better sound?

I have a CS350LS,CS1000p,and a CS400. They all are great speakers. I have my 350ls with a set of LS90's in the office. I also have a 400 with a pair of RT800i's in the workout room.
The 400 is a perfect match to your 2000p's and is awesome at HT.It will work great.
I do prefer the 350 for sound quality and have always thought it was Polks best center until the 1000p came along. The tweet form the LS line back then is still a favorite. Its why I won't give up my 90's
