Great, now I want a candy bar...

    You do sound quite hangry.

Ohh well, I'll just drink the bourbon.

Music is good though, I'm calming down.

I like how you think sir :sunglasses:

Got 8 24x24 tiles from Derek in today. Playing with placement as I type. Initial results are promising. Really loving the new room. So easy to just listen and before i know it 5 hours has passed

You should hear things tighten up and be more precise

    Enjoy

P.S. For shittes and giggles, if you don't have an SPL meter, download an app to your phone. At the least it will give you a reference point and where your volume is set currently and how things may change.

Looks similar in size and layout to my 2 channel room only I sit almost directly against the rear wall. I put two 2'x2' panels directly behind my head, two on each side walls and one directly behind each speaker. I also put some bass traps in each corner behind the speakers. This seemed to work best in my room. You are are the right track with room treatments, one of the best improvements after an external amplifier, IMO. Good luck.

Unfortunately I am having issues with my right ear. I have had chronic pressurization in my right ear since I was 11-12 but it has never hindered my actual hearing or enjoyment of my music. Lately at what I would call moderate volumes, I am getting a loud buzz in my right ear (intermittent, seems to react to high frequency) that causes the music to mute in my right ear. It seems like the sound is actually causing something to vibrate externally to my ear drum. I'm no doctor, and I am at the mercy of the navy doctors. So hopefully I can get an appointment soon and figure out what is going on. It is very frustrating for sure.

    Sorry pal that sux,
I have periodic problems with one of my ears since suffering a perforated ear drum years ago.

I know the frustration because it will last 2-4months, very uncomfortable.

    Hope you're better soon.

    Thanks Ron,

Still listening at lower volumes as to not trigger the issue hoping it will eventually heal or go away. Stereo sounds great at low levels but want to wait until I can crank it to finalize panel installation.

I did make some changes to the rig. Picked up a set of used Wireworld eclipse 7 RCA's for between my DAC and integrated and just order up a set of Acoustic Zen Satori speaker cables. I was wresting between the Satoris and Ww equinox 7's but got a great deal on the Satoris so going to give them a shot. Now I just need to decide on a digital interconnect between the streamer and DAC. And I should be don't except for an eventual speaker upgrade.

Yay! Sorry for the terrible pics, bad lighting in the room. Obviously the panels are temporarily placed.

Unfortunately my ear is really bad and preventing me from enjoying the music. Really hope whatever this is is not permanent.

I'm really becoming a believer in cables. I noticed a huge improvement moving to eclipse 7 ic's over a simple Canare pair. The AZ Satoris were just as a big of an improvement over my 4s11's and WW Solstices. Better instrument separation, lower perceived noise floor at least, and a much less bright presentation which is a huge deal to me since my room is so small and not ideal.

The guitar at the beginning of Pink Floyd's wish you were here is what I assess a lot of my equipment changes on, it sounds so much more lifelike now and I might actually believe there is a Guitar in the room now if I didn't know better.

LOL....hooked another one Russ. Cool beans bro, glad you liked them. They present a nice black background so the music jumps out at you. A more dynamic and detailed sound but not harsh or bright and tight bass slam up the wazoo if it's present. Enjoy man.
