I Blame The Rain ...

So after my first five months in SoCal and only 3 days of rain... the last two weeks have had about 8-9 days of rain (not real, East Coast downpours mind you...) but a real gentle soaking rain nonetheless. Sitting in my hotel room, nothing much to do except listen to tunes (which you can't really do early OR late...) I needed something else to do... So... I blame the rain...
Best of both worlds, passable acoustic for a hotel room (quiet) with electric ease of play-ability (after I get rid of those finger grinding Jazz strings). Here we have a pretty decent little Epiphone ES-175 Premium, laminated maple archtop, nice inlays, mahogany neck, rosewood finger board and actual '57 Reissue Gibson humbuckers, holds up to humidity change better too!
Have always admired this style of guitar, but actually went looking for an acoustic, demo'ed Breedlove, Martin, Taylor, Epiphone, and Seagull at Guitar Center just to decide on the sound and size I wanted (I have a Breedlove 'dread and a sweet 90's Epi Les Paul Birdseye at home)...
After a full demo, this little beauty caught my eye on the way out the door (damn you Guitar Center!), marked clearance and more than 50% off, I picked up the case as a blemish from zzounds with free s/h as well.
