Man this ticks me off. We want to help them rebuild and this is what we get.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - In one of the bloodiest and most horrifying days since the end of the U.S.-led war in Iraq, five U.S. troops and four American civilian contractors were killed in separate attacks in the Sunni Triangle west of Baghdad. After an ambush on two vehicles carrying the civilian contractors in Fallujah, jubilant Iraqis burned and mutilated the dead, then dragged two corpses through the streets and hung them from a bridge spanning the Euphrates River.

I won't post the picture here because it is too graphic, but you can see it on MSNBC.com.

grrrr.

I can't believe the **** America puts up with. We're so f@#$ing PC it makes me sick.

When are we going to realize that you cannot force democracy on people---they have to want it. It takes too much work to have a successful democracy, much less with people who don't even want it in the first place--the Iraqi's are friggin sheep--always have been, always will be. I know, I've been there and done that.

Why do you think the Turks have been so successful? They decided on their own that they wanted freedom/democracy.

People in this region have been killing each other in the name of relegion for over 2000 years. Should we expect anything less? As long as our elitist leaders model their rebuilding efforts based on the rule of Constantine the Great this killing will continue. Our leaders continually fail to recognize that the more legitimacy you give a religous leader who hates, you the more power he has to destroy you.

I say pull the troops out and let them do it their way. Screw them all! Maybe drop a few nukes on our way out.

Set up a blockade around the oil fields and take as much as we want for as long as we want too. A $1.90 a gallon is killing me!

Maybe we should put our oil purchases up for bid to the lowest bidder. Let's see how those F-ing towel heads like it when some other country out bids them. Alot of good OPEC is.
    No excuses!

The mess is caused by candy-assed liberals and bleeding hearts that can't see beyond a 1/2 hour sitcom!! The occupation of Japan after WWII and subsequent rebuilding to that nation in to a democratic country took 10 years. The occupation of germany lasted a little more than 6 years. After the **** surrendered are troops were attacked by **** loyalists for quite some time. They too had to be rooted out and killed, just like the scum in Iraq need to be hunted down and dealt with, with extreme prejudice.

Spyderman, I've kept a low profile during your recent dribble, and although you may be a great person, you do not have a grasp of the "Big Picture." I strongly recommend that you do a bit of reading on the subject of Iraq, Kuwait, and the murderous reigm of Saddam Hussein. Perhaps a few books on American History would also be in order, try "Flags of Our Fathers" by James Bradley. Perhaps a quite month of reflecting on the fact that you live in the greatest country on the face of this planet and just what it took to get here from where we started. We we where the oppresed, the down-troddin, the people looking for a better way of life. We found it and those of us who believe in what this country stands for will always be there for the rest of the world, because we have an obligation to do so. When your the big kid on the block, you have an obligation to watch out for the little guys and lend a hand when a bully shows up.

We didn't make a mess, but by God we're going to clean one up!!

    Rant over.

I thought someone would misunderstand my message.

My point was to let Saddam go back to killing his own people. After seeing this, they deserve to have such a murderer as their leader.

Democrats love this country just as must as you closed minded right-wing snobs. If you don't think so, then you are just as dumb as you sound!

War is hell. No one likes seeing scenes like these. That's why you don't just go attacking someone unless they attack you first.
This attack has totally destablized the region. Why? Because of lies, half-truths, and misinformation.

If you think President Bush didn't make this a bigger mess than it was before, then you are on some very interesting drugs!

Wait a minute, How about if we let someone take YOUR relatives out of the house in the middle of the night and execute them for doing just what you are now, I.E. speaking your mind.

Let him go back to killing his own people? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU???

As was said previously, the only way to deal with this is to offer the choice to those who want it .

It may take time, but it will work. The freedom we enjoy was bought with blood, and is defended with blood. There is no way around it.

Get off the soapbox, your bleeding heart. The only reason you can talk like you do is because someone had TO **** DIE to give you that freedom.

No one likes seeing scenes like these. War is hell. That is exactly why you don't attack another country unless you're attacked first. It polarizes the people and motivates them into doing things like we saw yesterday.

President Bush is ultimately responsible for this "war". Yes this war, and the death of innocent Americans, is Bush's fault and responsibility. That's the truth, like it or not.

He ultimately made the decision to attack Iraq based on misinformation. If a leader isn't ultimately responsible for the decision he makes, and the work his people are doing, then who is?

So, what's going to be the noble cause of this war?

What do you tell the grieving widows, and the mothers who lost their sons?

Can't tell them the truth, that it was a terrible mistake because of a pre-election plan by an inept president who was an oil man.

Can't tell them "Hey we really thought they had WMD's, but they didn't... Oops..." That's just not good enough.

Oh, yeah here we go... "We brought democracy to an Arab nation." Hmm... Why, did they ask for it?

Oh, here's another... "They are a terrorist nation and are responsible for 9/11." Damn, that's not true either...

    What's the noble cause???

There are a lot of other countries out there that treat their people just a badly as saddam did, i.e., China, N. Korea, Cuba...etc. Whole lot of $hit goin' on in Africa too...

Lets attack them all... Oops, no oil there... Too bad for you.

Ya gotta be kiddin' me. Yeah, like I made them myself...

Hate to bring out da big guns, but what was he doin' 'bout terrorism for the eight months prior to 9/11?

Why was the bin laden family able to fly immediately after 9/11 occured?

He took a surplus and turned it into the biggest deficit this country has ever seen... trillions of dollars... Tax cuts for the wealthy...

How 'bout making jokes about finding WMD's, while our boys are are dyin' over there, because of that very reason... If Johnson or Nixon made jokes about say finding the vietcong?

The infamous Patriot Act and its sequel, Patriot II, are chock−full of ways for the government to eliminate dissent. Protesters, whether leftist or rightist, can have their citizenship revoked. Even American citizens can be detained secretly, their identities only becoming known once charges are filed (and there is no guarantee that charges will be filed swiftly). No democratic government needs such oppressive means to fight a war on terrorism. The Bush administration has declared war on free thought.

Some here think my right to speak should be taken away...

Bush has ruined the image of America around the world. The nations of the world extended their hands to us in sympathy after 9/11 and were even willing to support our war in Afghanistan as a war of retribution against a state that had directly aided the attackers.

Bush was not be content with one war. No, we had to send our troops to fight in Iraq as well, without the support of the United Nations. Why? No one really knows. First it was "weapons of mass destruction" until we didn't find any. Now it's "pre−emptive self−defense," which makes a lot of sense. Invade a country because we're afraid it threatens us? I don't know about you, but there are a hundred things more threatening to me than the not−very−imposing Republic of Iraq under Saddam Hussein. But off to war we went, severely damaging our relations with almost the entire world. In fact, the attack on Iraq probably created more terrorists that it has prevented.

The economy has lost three million jobs, Ashcroft and the Department of "Oppression" have trampled all over American freedoms and the world views us as arrogant Americans who fought a needless war in Iraq for our own selfish purposes - Halliburton???

White collar jobs are leaving this country faster than we can say Enron. Last year India alone got 180,000 white collar jobs and will be getting more... These jobs will never be coming back. How can US employees compete with someone who is willing to do the same job for 10% of the salary? No joke.

Ya gotta be kiddin' me. Yeah, like I made them myself...

Hate to bring out da big guns, but what was he doin' 'bout terrorism for the eight months prior to 9/11?

Since he had only taken a office 9 months before before 9/11 he didn't have nearly enough time to rebuild what the previous administration had gutted in 8 years. Put the blame for 9/11 where it belongs, on the terrorist that commited the act!

Why was the bin laden family able to fly immediately after 9/11 occured?

Think back and try to remember that at that time no one knew for certain who was behind 9/11

He took a surplus and turned it into the biggest deficit this country has ever seen... trillions of dollars... Tax cuts for the wealthy...

And tax revenues actually increased, the deficit got worsebecause of spending by Congress.

How 'bout making jokes about finding WMD's, while our boys are are dyin' over there, because of that very reason... If Johnson or Nixon made jokes about say finding the vietcong?

    Blown way out of proportion.

If you aren’t doing anything illegal there’s nothing to worry about.

Some here think my right to speak should be taken away...

So people get a bit worked up about this issue, sound familiar?

Bush has ruined the image of America around the world. The nations of the world extended their hands to us in sympathy after 9/11 and were even willing to support our war in Afghanistan as a war of retribution against a state that had directly aided the attackers.

Double-check your facts! The coalition forces include 60+ countries.

Again your not posting anything factual, just opinion and rhetoric.

The economy has lost three million jobs, Ashcroft and the Department of "Oppression" have trampled all over American freedoms and the world views us as arrogant Americans who fought a needless war in Iraq for our own selfish purposes - Halliburton???

The economy was in a nose-dive BEFORE Busch took office, again your not supporting your argument…your only raising your voice! Do a little research and explore the GDP and Leading Economic Indicators for the last 2 years of the previous administration and you’ll see that you are way off the mark.

White collar jobs are leaving this country faster than we can say Enron. Last year India alone got 180,000 white collar jobs and will be getting more... These jobs will never be coming back. How can US employees compete with someone who is willing to do the same job for 10% of the salary? No joke.

Business is business…it’s not a charity. Take a look at the taxes that you pay and then remember that for every $1 you pay in income tax, your employer pays $2. The cost of being in business, taxes, payroll, benefits, lawsuits, federal regulations, etc are driving U.S. companies to find less expensive places to produce their products/services.

And when was the last time that YOU bought a 100% American made product? Any Asian – Made electronics in your home? How about your car? Liberal mentality of tax the rich and all corporations is driving companies to find less expensive means of staying in business. The tax burden should be shared equally by all of us, not by the companies that employ us and “the rich.” “Take more because they have more” is nothing short of criminal! This nation enjoys a higher standard of living than any other country on earth, and as a result there are quite a few lazy citizens that seem to feel that the rest of us are responsible for their poverty level. Horse Crap!!

Im sick and tired of this Bush bashing. The only reason that 911 happened was the fact that we didnt go over to the middle east sooner. If we would have taken this action years ago then they would not have had the opprotunity to take the form that they are in now. Remember the fact that the head of the CIA was a Clinton hold over, he was not picked by Bush. That was Bush looking out for the country and hoping to ensure the fact that the new guy would not take time to get caught up on the information.

And the reason that gas prices are so high is because the fact that so many gas oil companys are no consoidating and closing down refrineries in efforts to lower cost of production hense increasing profits. Look at the price of crude oil price and see how they have gone down yet gas prices have gone up.

Bush got handed a big pile of **** and is stuck trying to make something out of it.

Does every thread need to turn into a political hatefest? The thread is a comment/question about the actions taken recently by some individuals, surrounding a particular event. Now it is a big overblown statement of political affiliation and thoughts.

I don't care about Bush.....Kerry....Republicans or Democrats in a thread about the events that surrounded a disgusting display of hate and animosity. I think its fairly clear about why all this is happening, blah blah, just comment on the atrocity of it.
