PFB loses gear all the time !!!!!!!If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

In all fairness, he still has the gear... it's usually just a total loss.

Funny you mention. I misplaced my old Denon DCD 660 player that I bought in 91. Dug deep looking and I put in the box my reciever came in {Denon DRA 1025RA} which is now my garage unit. Replaced it a few years back for my Rogue Cronus Magnum which I love that drives my 15TL's.

Misplacing//losing gear usually involves me trying to get good sound at the girlfriends house . .. things don't work out, she doesn't appreciate the quality of it all and I don't have the heart to take it backAC Regenerator PS Audio PerfectWave Power Plant 10

Still looking...
I was wondering if perhaps I sold it, but I did find the empty box... -
in a word... umm...
what were we talking about?
lose "gear"?
well, not as such.
In my case, it's more like -- I'll be loking around for something I know is here somewhere --
and I won't find it --
but I will find stuff I forgot I had.
Sometimes it belongs to other people, too
-
I'm still looking for my Klipschorns I know I have here somewhere.
Perfectly understandable.
They are so easy to misplace. -

I lost a B&O phono cartridge. I think it's in a box somewhere (I hope!), but I can't find it. Good news is that I own two, and I have (and am using) the other one.
I also lost the power cord to my '80s vintage CD player. I don't know if the player still works, but it sure won't if I can't find the power cord. Maybe it's with the phono cartridge? *sigh* -
B&O 4002 ? 1900 ?
If it's a 4002 I'm going to have to hate you (I'm not allowed to be jealous, so ...)
I'm still fixated on that 4002. It's probably a sign of ...... I don't know .... not something good
It's kind of like a woman, I suppose. There's better, less expensive, newer and improved models out there, but still ....
I mean that in a non-sexist way.
I've never misplaced any gear, although I have 'lost' a bit over the years.
I'll keep an eye out for Rick88''s Klipschorns. If I find them .. you'll never hear about it.Sal Palooza -
Well, a couple hours later, having become side-tracked watching several hours of videos of the 4002/4004 B & O (motor repair, etc) I'd say this: if by "lost gear' we include "lost sense of any level of reasonable, sound audio judgement based upon price per performance" then, yes, I've "lost gear" again.
I certainly wouldn't lead a parade touting B&O electronics. They are fine, but there is "better" out there.
And I'm certainly not going to try to form up a parade on their TT's. They are fine, but there are "better" out there, vintage wise: the 1200, Thorens, etc.
But the 4002/4004 is my Achilles heal. I acknowledge that.
But ... I don't care. It is what it is.
So, yes, I've lost gear/mind.Sal Palooza -
one of the most beautiful tts ever made -- the 4002/4004 family, that is.
I have to make due with only a TX-2, but, tell you what, it is a very decent tt.

I never lose gear. I just keep it spread out across the country in hopes of actually retrieving it some day.

Russ, that's like my seashell collection that I keep spread out on the beaches all over the world!
Alright, I stole that from Steven Wright... -
