Yamaha rx-a860 or rx-v1081?

Looking to upgrade my receiver. These two are currently on sale at Vision electronics $799/$899.
Thanks for any input

    Which one has pre-outs? That would help me decide. I believe the RX-V is the upper line model. I have the RX-V1800 love it.

    I would typically go with the Aventage model over the RXV but in this case the 8xx Aventage is not the greater of the two. I would choose the 1081.

    If you can swing a higher end Rx-A 10xx or higher I would do that though.

    Both have pre-outs. Rxv regular price is $1499 and the Aventage is $1099. I was leaning towards Rx-v. Do plan on adding an amp

    I love my rx a1010, but at that price I would consider the marantz here:

    The real question is what are you looking to achieve? What features are must haves?

    You can try buying it through Amazon and see if they will ship it.
