A few questions about LSiM wire gauge and future amp purchase

So I nabbed a nice LSIM setup for $2900. Two LSiM 707's, LSiM 706c, and two LSIM 703 bookshelf. Had my RTi A9, FXi A6, and CSi A6 setup for nearly 9-10 years and finally upgrading since the price was good for the LSiM setup.
So here's my current config. I have a Denon AVR-x4100w receiver and two SVS PB2000. I know I need to get new wire for my speakers. I'm not looking to spend a butt load on cables at this time because I have to clear my current debt and that's gonna take till March or so once I get my bonus and when I get my credit statement
Wire Recommendations from Polk
Lengths up to 25'
16 or better gauge
Lengths greater than 25'
14 gauge
but less than 50'
Lengths greater than 50'
12 gauge
but less than 75'
Lengths greater than 75'
12 gauge
I do have a spool of 16 gauge cable. Should I go to a higher gauge?
The LSiM 707s will only need about 4ft of cable, the same with the 706c, maybe only 3ft. The LSiM 703s will need about 15ft of cable or so.
Also any recommendations on a future amp purchase? So ya I am a newb when it comes to amplifiers and wiring up these speakers. Would I need a 5 channel amp for this LSiM set? Do I need one channel per speaker or does it depend on how you wire them? Like I have read people suggested wiring the highs and lows separately for the 707s, so would that use 4 channels on the amp? Just need some clearing up and explaining. Thanks!

I wouldn't go any less than 12 gauge on the cables. Buy used and save a bundle. Kimber, Audioquest, Analysis plus, MIT, Acoustic Zen, and many more.
Amps, also buy used and save more coin, Parasound, B&k, McCormack, should match up well with those speakers.HT SYSTEM-

That's a very nice setup you've got! Your receiver is certainly capable of driving the speakers, but a seperate amp will definitely bring them to a new level. A 5-channel amp would suit just fine, and your Denon has the pre-outs, so you wouldn't need a new processor. While you can certainly bi-amp the 707s (use two amp channels for each speaker) I don't think you would gain much unless you played around with crossover settings in the receiver. I'm sure others can expand on that. I would just use the jumpers or bi-wire (one amp channel per speaker, but split wire at the speaker end going to the top and bottom binding posts) your fronts. Look into a Parasound, B&K, or Rotel 5-channel amp. You can usually find them fairly reasonably priced on the used market.
As for speaker wire... without opening a can of worms... that depends on your budget and whether or not your ears can hear any improvement in using premium cables (can be upwards of 5 figures!). I'd go no less than 12 AWG all around. It's not that much more than 16 AWG. I've had good results with Monoprice cables (although many may cringe at that), but found that Belden and Canare is a bit nicer and still not horribly expensive. Check Bluejeanscable.com for decent pricing. Canare (4S11) quad star cable is nice and makes bi-wiring easy. There are others on here with a ton more experienced who can give you more advice on cables than I could, so I'll defer further to them.
Good luck with the new setup and most importantly... ENJOY! -
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Thanks for the tips guys. I got 100ft of 12 gauge cable and some Sewell deadbolts and redid everything today. I believe I might notice a better quality in sound because the old wire I had was really small gauge. My wiring is a disaster in my cabinet though. Too many devices. XBOX one, PS4, Cable box and modem, Wii u, android box, and my receiver.
