I have to confess that I broke the rules. I sold my Essence to amblert without realizing it was a breach of protocol. I understand why the rule is in place and apologize openly to.the forum. Wasn't trying to circumvent policy.
Sorry for the derail.
Kerry

glad you made a sale.
If the rules have changed why doesn't the
*** READ THIS FIRST ***
reflect that?
Regardless I'd like to sell local to Polk family and friends
no matter what google thinks. -
Kerry - You didn't break any rules... no need to apologize!
I believe the rules did change not long after the switch to Vanilla (when the FM became open to anyone and through Google searches). It used to block the FM from members with less than 100 posts. Even after it was open to members with less than 100 posts, the rules used to clearly state you had to have 100 meaningful posts to sell AND buy. Then after debate and somewhat of a vote from forum members, it was decided to keep the 100 post minimum for sellers, but leave the decision to the seller whether or not he/she wanted to open the sale up to a potential buyer with less than 100 posts. Ken S. then edited the rules to reflect that.
Hopefully anyone coming here from Google thinking they are just going to score a deal thinks twice, and instead sticks around and contributes to this great forum, establishes a good reputation for themselves, and expands the membership/knowledge base!
That said, redned has some fine stuff for sale here. Let's get this thread back on track for him! -
My understanding is that I can buy but not sell until I have a 100 posts. Kerry the DAC should be here tomorrow.
-
Well, I re-read it and it was changed to reflect the new policy.
So, no worries. -
What we're all saying amblert is that you should stick around. You'll soon find that it's not only the deals that are great in this forum, but also the knowledge, camaraderie, helpfulness, resources, and just great folks who are members. A sincere welcome to you!

I decided to join as I have just retired and I have 3 sets of Monitor 7s, a set of SDA CRS and SDA 2B and I spending my time reading up on modding my speakers. Thanks for the welcome.

Another welcome ! -
Thanks rednedtugent ! You did not have to make an exception for me with the A 25s but you did. Great transaction ! I do hope they get along with Polk speakers because they are outnumbered four to one. Always wanted a set of these to hear them with the ST 70 and now I will.

Hate to hear that. It would be nice if some young kid could get his / her hands on those. Then he / she could drive his Mamma and Daddy crazy like I did messing with such. They always thought I was going to kill myself one day fooling around with electronics but they could not stop me, I would just hide and do it anyway. They started to be amazed in time as I actually could fix something now and then. Those would have been a prize to me. -
The Phillips drivers are fine and how many 12" woofers do you find these days.
Maybe I'll keep them and get around to fixing the one Xover w/ issues...
then do like you say @vsat88. -
Very happy with the Dynaco A25's thanks !!

Great!
