According to the instruction manual, these were intended to be rear surround speakers to compliment SDA mains. They can also be used as mains themselves since they are basically Monitor 4.5's with (some kind of) SDA wiring.

These are very close to mint (very small signs they've been out of the box once or twice; one of the input terminals on the back wiggles a little). Come in the original box with instructions and interconnect cable. I'm located in the SF Bay area if you're local. I'd only like $50 (+ shipping if needed) from a club Polk member.

I just started a thread about these, ..we have a pair in our one storage building.
Was wondering how they work and sound, we never hooked them up, in fact barely saw them, as they were from a relatives estate we had to clean out.

I did listen to them for a little while - they sound good - with the switch at the By Pass setting, they sound more forward than at any of the surround settings. With each successive switch in the surround settings, the lows and highs become more pronounced while the mids become more subdued. The first surround setting is probably the sweet spot for balance.
