Hi-Fi Fuses?

Originally I was a cable skeptic. I couldn't see paying hundreds of dollars for interconnects and speakers cables. I went the snake oil salesman route as it regarded cables, until I tried some upgraded cables. I was wowed my eyes (and ears) were opened and from then on I became a believer that "Everything Matters" as I have learned here.

However, now I am wondering if High fidelity fuses will make any meaningful improvement in sound as it relates to how much more they cost.

Does anyone here have any experience with hi-fi tuning fuses? Are they really worth the investment? I really don't have $$$$ to piss away! Please help

I do... But it blew up.

I wasn't able to compare it to stock. I had it in my previous Cary slp 05 tube preamp.

I have tried them and honestly couldn't tell a lick of difference. Put the money towards some music or blue rays.

Maybe mine weren't expensive enough to warrant a difference. But 20 bucks on sale for a 40 fuse. I sure would be mad if it blew. I've also heard, that these fuses can blow due to different metals used with the inrush of current when the unit is turned on. Not sure.

I blew a fuse in my McCormack DNA 0.5 Rev A amp and I was thinking about Hi-fi fuse replacements. Don't want to spend the coin unless there will be significant sonic improvement

Ray DK did some experiments on some iirc he found they made a difference in his gear. Once again iirc he found they were directional.

I think tube investment would trump fuse investment

I'd try it to see if I can hear a difference in my big rig but not any time soon.

Sounds like it may not be worth the investment.......Maybe I'll spend that time /$$$ on figuring out how to treat the room
