PSW 125 connection and quality of sound

Hello,
I have a PSW 125 and the speakers connections go through the subwoofer because my amplifier does not have a specific connection for it (Marantz PM 7005).
I would like to know if the quality of sound gets affected passing by the sub. If not so, can anyone give me a technical explanation why not.
Thank you,

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. The speaker level input connections are high impedance when compared to your speakers. Only a small amount of the signal that leaves your receiver is used by the subwoofer's amplifier, the rest goes to the speakers. It's kind of like sticking a soda straw into the Mississippi River, only a soda straw's volume of water will flow out of the straw's diameter (it's high impedance limits how much water can come into the straw), the vast majority of the river will keep on rollin'.
Cheers, Ken
