What are some of the important things to look at before purchasing a sub?( sensitivity, ohms,materials,wattage,etc )

    that's a slightly open-ended question...

    the first decision is whether it's being used for sq or spl. the next is how much volume you need, which, when combined with sensitivity (a smallish factor), gives you your wattage requirements. as a very very general rule, as something costs more, it performs better - i.e. pyle vs. adire or id kinda thing.

    if you give some more info on what you're looking for, how much money you've got, what audio equipment you already have, etc. it'd be much help.
