My Ol Lady says she would spend the rest of her life trying to turn it on

I'll leave it for my wife with a stipulation she can't sell it to buy some cute jeweled cube speakers. If she wants those buy them with your own cash and leave the two systems to the kids. We are more than covered in terms of cash should I pass before her, separate mortgage insurance covers the house, then individual life insurance, plus she'll get my very comfortable Government pension and benefits. Not worried about money.
Nice that you don't got to worry if you leave - sounds like you did well!
It's one thing when you're older and you're more established. For us younger guys, more insurance is required as we don't have established pensions, 401k, etc.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -

Working for the Federal Government isn't my ideal job. Once we had kids is when I decided I'd stay so that my immediate family and I could enjoy the benefits it comes with. I may not be rich now, but I know I'll be retiring very comfortably and if I happen to pass before my wife I know they will be fine. I totally understand not having pension as my wife left one firm with pension to go to another without. So we are investing in her. I'm due 4 years of retro salary increases coming in January and we are given options with our severance as it's being discontinued. All of that is going into a spousal rrsp so she can retire around the same time I do and be comfortable. But yes, mortgage and life insurance is a must. -
I don't think about it, nor do I care. I will have gotten all the enjoyment out of it that I could. If someone wants something, they can have it, or it can go to the junkyard.
My feelings exactly

The dog gets mine. He's partial to 70's era rock (hint, hint). If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

I've thought about this myself...haven't come up with a good answer. One thought was to put together instructions to my brother describing all the gear, where accessories/manuals/original boxes, etc. are kept. He would at least know how to sell the gear and give the $ to my surviving family. Problem is, he is 7 years older than me, so who knows if he will be around when my time comes!
Chances are, the stuff will get passed to my kids and they won't appreciate it. It will get sold for below its value. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

My amplifiers are heirlooms, the turntable is priceless... the gear goes to my son. I can only hope he will have an appreciation for them and treasure them for what they are.
Seriously John ? You know once the kid finds out what it's worth, his girl will get a new set of knockers and a shiny new Harley will be in his drive.
