How would a Rotel RB 985 5chx220 wts/ch @ 4 ohms match my B&K av5125 amp in a Bi-amp hook up? Would i notice a considerable increase in sound quality if I bi-amped my 5ch system. I have lsi 9's for mains. Lsi 7's for rears and the Lsi C.

Listening is the ultimate test, but a tad expecsive if it goes wrong unless you buy from a dealer with a return policy.
Specs can offer a clue here. Compare the amps' sensitivity, gain and slew rate specs for starters.More later,

I think it will be a better deal if i just wait for the same B&K amp I have now.I'll just have to look to find one at the right price range.I know now i got the deal of a life time on the first one.Thank you for the input though. I did look at the specs. I don't think it would work out.

Think about it long and hard, bi-amping is rarely worth the associated costs. It is truly a subtle difference in all but about 2% of all cases. You're money would be better spent on upgrading something else, IMO.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Steve has a point. Your B&K has some significant current capabilities. That said, IMO adding power can make a significant difference in many systems.
pm,
Two points:
1. Just because it's B7K don't assume a different model has the same characteristics. While it's likely to be a closer match, and in all probability is "close enough", it's not a cinch.
2. Consider adding a 2 ch B&K for your mains. Many can be had cheap on ebay (~$200 + S&H). I don't believe that Bi-anythinging surrounds in an HT buys much at all. If you're into multi-ch music, it supposedly becomes a greater factor, but I'm skeptical that "equal power" is audibly better than adequate power.More later,
