What sub for RM6700 speakers?

I wrote a week ago about sub wiring. I've decided that I need a new sub. I have an rm6700 speaker system with a psw 303 sub. The sub is too small and weak for the size of the room. The entire room is 22' L x 26'W. The living room half is 22' x 13'. The HT system is entirely in the living room half. The receiver has low pass settings of 100, 150 and 200hz. I'm thinking of subs in the $300 to $600 range such as the SVS PB1-ISD; Velodyne CHT12; JBL E250P; Infinity PS-12; Sony SA-WX700; Polk psw505 or any other sub that you can recommend. The rm6700 speakers only go down to 95hz. Some of the subs such as the SVS and Velo have a high of 120hz. Thus I would have to set my receiver at 100hz. Considering that this is only 5hz higher than the rm6700's low will this work? (I'm assuming that the specs on the rm6700 are accurate.) What shoud I do? What sub would you guys recommend? Thanks.

I e-mailed SVS about using the PB1-ISD sub with my rm6700 speakers in this large of a room. They thought that it would work well and certainly better than my present sub. But I'd really like to hear from some of you guys as to which sub would work best in such a large room with my rm6700 speakers.

With a room that size I would upgrade the seakers also. My room is 19x25x9 and the first set (RM7200 w/free202) did play well in the room but lacked something in the overall sound (maybe less full sounding) in a smaller room it would have been fine but looks like we have simular room sizes, your is a little bigger (22x26 wow thats big) what is your ceiling height?. If the sub is what you would like to start first that would be a good starting point. The PB2-ISD, + or ultra would a better choice (IMO) if the room is open as a whole (no dividing walls). If price is a factor the PB2-ISD would be the one I would settle with the price is alittle more but in the end will be well worth it and will fill the room nicely. Later upgrade the speakers to fill the room with better/fuller sound. An open room that size is very large and even though you are only using half you should to look at it as a whole to get the most from it.

Forgot to mention the SVS is the only one I will look at for sub duty. Simply can't be beat IMO.

I agree its seems hard to beat a SVS for the price and performance. I recently upgraded my RM6700/PSW202 package to a RT16/CSi3/FXi3 set-up and was quite surprised by the difference. The RM6700 is a great system, but with a room your size I would really consider upgrading all of the speakers.
