Guys; without taking up an hour to explain, suffice it to say that last summer Bob sent a TFM-35 amp to a fellow named Mike Anderson at Carverrepair.com prepaid for repair and return shipping. Well, after countless unanswered e-mails, and fruitless phone conversations with this jerk, who claims that the amp was repaired and returned but has no record of the shipping info...Bob is out his amp and the money for the repairs and this idiot still has no intentions of letting us know what's being done to make right. Please swamp this guy with mail about the matter, and be sure to use our name so he knows what's up. The address is: blutango@serv.net and can be copied and pasted right into your e-mail address line. The more notes this guy gets the better our chances he might sick of his mailbox being crammed and do something. This whole thing just isn't right at all. Thanks guys.

    he's got more mail..

I know you said the guy admits to receiving the amp. Do you have proof that he did? If so, and he has no record of shipping it back, well... you could see if he's ever heard of Judge Judy. .....or Roy D. Mercer :D

Just a helpful suggestion, mind you. Call up one of your local TV stations that has a consumer advocate that will act on your behalf. Amazing how quick these TV consumer advocates gets their customers money back......

Bob Followed every rule of shipping to the letter. It was well packed, marked with the RMA # on all sides, insured 3 day UPS and tracking number. The guy at the repair place http://www.carverrepair.com had confirmed receipt of the amp, but kept telling Bob several times when asked that the amps' parts were ordered and would be repaired soon. Well, soon never came. The guy stopped corresponding with Bob and left him hanging. Then all at once months later says, "oh yeah, that amp was repaired and sent back to you a long time ago...what you didn't get it?" Bob was thnking, no ****, why would I still be asking you about it if I had?..What a dork. The guy says that he doesn't inform customers when he returns items, he just sends them and says if he doesn't receive word that anything is wrong, then he ditches the paperwork on them assuming all is ok. Well, the **** should stop and think, that if nobody is informed that he has sent back their stuff, if it doesn't get received then of course he's not going to get word about it not being received!!! That doesn't take a genious to figure out. Keep sending those e-mails...and bump the attachements to 5 megs!!!

If I understand correctly, Mike Anderson is the boss.

Carverrepair.com is in WA, and Bob's in NY, so it might be a little difficult to approach it by way of a TV consumer advocate.

The guy probably took the TFM-35 and sold it on E-bay for $500.

Perhaps one could file a complaint with the BBB or the WA attorney general's office.

Mad? yes! Revenge? yes! Money back? no!

I don't think he is worried about the money, the BBB or anything else, bottom line is he wants his amp back. If he is anything like me, he wants HIS amp back, not the $$ to buy another, but his......

You guys are right, he does indeed want HIS amp back...partially because it was a brand new, once used show demo that he upgraded with Vampire gold over copper binding posts. The amp was perfect except once it was powered up, with music or at idle...exactly and precisely 20 minutes to the second, it would mute. Only after a 10 minute power down would it come back on. That's all Mike was supposed to fix. So, following Carverrepair.com's policy, Bob packed it up, put the RMA number all over the box, paid dearly to have it shipped 3 day to WA with prepaid payment for repairs and return shipping of $189. So, now he's out the amp, the new binding posts and $189 to boot!! Yep, he's just a slight bit pissed.

maybe if ebay has some sort of archives they can look into to see if that kind of amp was sold on the site in the last few monthes.

Has Bob gone back to where he purchased the item to see if they can get him some one else to contact at Carver? Since crap rolls, push it around. The more people at Carver that get crapped on the fast this will get resolved.
