    Red is positive
    Black is negative.
Turn on the juice and enjoy the music.
7b's are one of my favorite speakers. Just feed them some good CLEAN power and the spec sheet won't mean a thing.
    Can ya dig it?

No worries. Are they all original? Given the age of the set, a crossover refresh will bring them up to snuff. The old capacitors tend to fade with age. If you're handy with a schematic and soldering iron, you breathe new life into them.

OP: do you have a specific concern about your speakers? Are they new to you? Do you think they need any repair?

There are Polk speakers from that vintage where you do need to choose your amplifier carefully. The Polk 7 series are not one of those speakers.

As long as your Denon amp can drive a 4 ohm speaker, you should be fine.

Let us know how they sound!

I know you will hate them so I will give you my shipping address...

This is what I have handy for Monitor 7. You said yours were 7c so I am not sure this is your spec sheet but I would not think it would not be too far off.

    Specs-

    Frequency response-

25 Hz to 25 KHz, 40Hz at lower -3db limit, 23KHz at upper -3db limit.

Recommended amplifier power- 20wpc to 150wpc
    efficiency- 89 db

    Impedance- 8 ohms

size- 24" tall by 13" wide by 10" deep. 33 lbs each.

Polk still supports it's products, and if ever the durable and well-built speakers ever need replacement parts, they are still available from Polk.
