No red optical light on new Magnifi Soundbar

I can get my soundbar to connect to my TV via Bluetooth but not through the optical input. I am getting a red light from the port on my TV but nothing from the soundbar's port. I have made sure that the optical source was selected and I have used to different optical cables with the same result. The only thing I can conclude is that the optical port on the soundbar is broken. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

After moving it to another tv in the one I got the soundbar to work.
