So this is going to sound kind of stupid but I just bought a new Polk 10in sub and I'm looking at the back, its got red an white audio jacks, the back of my receiver has a single sub out. Which one to I plug my cable into in the back of the sub? I'm at work now and my sub arrived at the house today so i'll be hooking it up when I get home. Thanks

You can get a Y adapter for one end of the cable. Plug one end into the sub out on the receiver and then use the adapter for the sub side.
Or you can buy a cable that is already split, like this

Cool thank you much. looking at pictures it just looked odd to me, in the past my subs always just a had a single line in. Thanks again.

You don't need to split it. Pick either input and rock on.

Thanks for the options guys! hooked everything up last night went with the no split option for the sub, I'm already in love with my new setup! Polk T50 in the front w/the T30 center, T15's in the rear, and PSW108 hooked up to a Sony STR-DH770.
